Friday, June 4th

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE "MISS ALGONQUIN NATION" COMPETITION 2010 HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO A LACK OF PARTICIPANTS

Saturday, June 5th

5:30 a.m. Sunrise Ceremony (Important to be on time)
7:00 a.m. Breakfast on the grounds and/or in school
9:00 a.m. Walking out ceremony
9:30 a.m. Muster for parade
10:00 a.m. Parade leaves the AANTC Tribal Council
11:00 a.m. Initiation of New Dancers
11:30 a.m. Recognition of Parade Participants 
Participants go to school grounds followed by Drum warm up
12:00 p.m. Grand Entry 
P.M. Dance, Songs, Specials.
5:00 p.m. Supper Break
6:00 p.m. Grand Entry
  Social Dancing
Sunset Retirement of Flags
9:00 p.m. Approx.
  • Hand drum
  • mini competition, Social Dancing
  • Friendly Competitive youth games begin in the School Gym, ages 12 and over.
  • Senior Activities in cafeteria

9:30 a.m. Talking Circles (if requested) 
Site: Sacred Fire 
Fire Keeper: Peter Decontie
11:30 a.m. Drum warm-up
12:00 p.m. Grand Entry
  Another fine afternoon of Dance, Songs and Specials.
4:00 p.m. Committee Give-Away to Elders, Veterans, Drums, and Dancers 
to be followed by Closing Ceremonies and Cash Draw.
6:00 p.m. Feast -Magoshewin- for all, presented by the Kitigan Zibi Community
